THE ORIGINS OF CHAMPNEYS
Founded in 1925, we’ve been at the forefront of wellness since our inception, when we emerged as one of the first health resorts in the world.
100 years ago, the visionary naturopath Stanley Lief founded Champneys in Tring which started life as a Nature Cure Resort and was the first of its kind in the UK. His embrace of holism, healthy diets and recognition of stress as a negative influence on health can be seen in today’s medicine and practices.
For 100 years we’ve remained a place where people can disconnect, refresh, and revitalise their mind, body, and soul, in exquisite surroundings.
